With a cake like this we wouldn't have to worry with a cake topper! I love the vine theme. Not so sure about the pears... but you could go with the "The Perfect Pair" theme.I have always like the "Tree of Life" pattern which has been used in different decorative items such as wallpaper and upholstery in the 1800's.
It's a possibility... and I can give up my search for a Cake Topper!
Now that does sound promising!

Cake #14 is very similar to the design of the announcements that you want. You could do something like that to tie the wedding and reception together.
Thinking like a MOH! Cake #14 is definitely in the running. Fondant is really expense. So I need to keep that in mind...
Also, it doesn't taste that great either.
I definitely like the toile design.
